Swedish/Dutch Monark Flakmoped.

Some introduction:
We are Marc & Judy from The Netherlands.

We both have a custom made Monark flakmoped type 1731 from the 60's.
Our carriers were used by our Postal Services to deliver parcels.
We are trying to restore one of our carriers to its original state.
For this we are collecting all kinds of information, we allready have found a lot of info in Holland and in Sweden, but we think there must be more...
For instance, we have no idea how many of these carriers were made for our country..??
Are there still spare parts for sale.?? sinds we have bought a original katalog of type 1731, we noticed some parts we still need..

Every bit of info is very welcome..

We are thinking about comming to Sweden some day when our flakmopeds are restored, are there perhaps some good flakmoped evenemang to show our carriers,??

Awesome with whiteside tires all around! It's very nice with double chrome headlights. Swedish Flakmopeds have only one, painted with chrome ring or completly in plastic

Looking forward to se the endresult. </div>

I am affraid the double chrome headlights are just temporaraly, because we are sill searching for the original Swedish Monark ones...
The whiteside tyres are not so difficult to find, they are still being produced...
It is our goal to get our carrier as good as finished mid. september, when there are 2 oldtimer evenmang close to our hometown.
But when it is finished, we have to take it to get an official approval, it will be tested fully...

Yes, the resturation is getting along very well the last month or so..
The wiring still has to be done, We have allready found a nice pair of new handles, but they are not the original ones.....we will change it if we can find the Magura's.

Also we still need the original Swedish Monark lampa's. the chrome ones are temporaraly...

At the moment we are working on the bakjhul, the rim has to become red as well..
We have been searching for information and parts almost 2 years now...and we are glad we have come so far...

One of the BIG mysteries is we still don't know how many of these custom made Monark carriers were made for our postal services..!!??
We can not retrieve any records in our country at the moment....

A flakmoped fan mailed us a picture of a carrier in France....this is also a mystery, because it looks like the Swedish model, but it has got the same Framskärm as the Dutch model.??
